Design should make our lives easier, not more complicated.

Bills should be simple to pay. Forms should be effortless to fill out. Medicine information should be friendly, not scary, to use. Instructions should lead you to where you want to go, without having to think too hard about it.

We relish the kinds of jobs other designers hate, the ordinary, everyday, kinds of things that are part of everyone’s lives – such as insurance forms, phone bills, ticketing systems, medicine instructions, bank statements and superannuation reports – the kinds of things that can make or break your day.

We actually take pride in the fact that our designs are often so effective they’re not even registered as designs.

And we love the idea that every day, thousands of people are using the designs we have created to do mundane things, without ever having to think about them.
